Founding Principal Nolan Smith has never been one to accept the status quo. Dissatisfied with the state of healthcare Architecture in Australia, Nolan began Thexton Smith (formerly Point Health Architects) to inject life and contemporary design into the sector. With a passion for great architecture, enviable optimism and an unwavering belief in always doing better, Nolan is at the forefront of his field.
Nolan’s architecture career began in New Zealand where he worked on prominent multi-residential projects, high-end residences and large-scale multi-residential and heritage listed projects. Every project Nolan works on today benefits from his broad knowledge base, creativity, profound understanding of the construction industry and meticulous eye for detail.
Nolan takes a lead role in all projects and focuses on pushing the boundaries of architecture and design, whilst ensuring developments are commercially viable and operationally sound. Nolan offers a personal level of service and communication to satisfy client’s needs, from concept and design development through to delivery. He is passionate about providing industry-leading design, cost-effective construction and operability for his clients as well as comfort and pleasure to the end user.

Heading the Interior division of Thexton Smith, Adrian has over 25 years’ experience as an Architect and Interior Designer in the UK and Australia. Adrian brings a wealth of expertise and intuitive design to the team at Thexton Smith. Passionate about innovation and with an uncanny ability to stay at the leading edge of industry trends, Adrian has a unique understanding of the quality and attention to detail that complex projects demand.
Adrian has worked on a wide range of project types, most notably high-end residential and multi-residential, hospitality and commercial projects. His in-depth understanding of the requirements and challenges of these types of projects makes him an extremely valuable addition to the Thexton Smith team.
During his time as a Director of Weldon Walshe in London, Adrian specialised in luxury residences. In Australia, Adrian has worked with many high-profile client organisations including Crown, Langham, Accor Hotels, Far East Consortium and Skycity, to name a few. Having worked with both private and developer clients throughout his career, he has gained a thorough insight into the requirements of commercial projects.
Adrian is an exceptionally skilled and experienced Interior Architect with an innate ability to create captivating interior spaces, and his input is highly valued by staff and clients alike.
The cog that keeps the Thexton Smith machine turning, Amy has been Partner and Practice Manager since Thexton Smith’s inception. Taking on a number of responsibilities as Thexton Smith has grown, Amy oversees the management and administrative side of the practice. Amy’s role at Thexton Smith is critical to enabling Nolan and the leadership team to focus on their passion: architecture and our clients.
With over 10 years spent in the advertising industry, Amy is well accustomed to the fast-paced world of creative environments, and the pressures and rewards that go hand in hand. Having dealt with all manner of client brief in her years in advertising, from the bizarre to the impossible, Amy handles anything thrown her way with a smile.
By taking control of the day to day challenges that come with operating a business, Amy allows the leadership team at Thexton Smith to be hands-on with all clients, enabling them to follow projects from inception to completion and ensuring quality of design and delivery.

As an associate and project leader, Matt is a key part of the Thexton Smith management team. He provides valuable direction and critical thinking to his projects, assisting the design directors and project team equally to produce exceptional architectural outcomes.
Matt has worked on many high-end projects across Australia for notable luxury hotel, hospitality and casino brands such as Star Entertainment Group, the Langham and SkyCity, through to community spaces, private residences, multi-residential and apartment projects.
Matt has extensive experience in delivering complex and involved projects. As Team Leader, he acts as liaison with clients and directors alike, and coordinates the team from client brief, design and documentation, through to successful project delivery. His exceptional design ability and eye for detail is of great benefit to our clients, ensuring our projects run smoothly.
Through Matt’s career he has experienced a vast breadth of project typologies, giving him the capability and leadership skills to deliver projects of any size and budget, always achieving outstanding results for our clients.

Cameron has been a key player on some of Australia’s largest and most significant developments. His noteworthy career and capacity for challenge have led him to a leadership role at Thexton Smith, where he is both project lead and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager.
Cameron joined us from Cox Architecture, where he worked on numerous large-scale projects including apartment, hotel and commercial towers for leading developers such as Gurner, Plenary and OSK Property.
His project experience includes the $2.8 billion Melbourne Square development comprising apartments, Hilton hotel and commercial towers, for which he led the Façade team; the $1.3 billion Wesley Place commercial precinct; the $280 million Victoria & Vine apartments; the $565 million Sapphire by the Gardens apartments, as well as the Sydney Football Stadium redevelopment.
Cameron is highly driven and has a seasoned design approach. He provides critical thinking and advanced technical knowledge, and is a valuable asset to Thexton Smith.
