Located in Noble Park, this two-level addition to an existing aged care home presents a striking architectural look for the facility.
As designed by Melbourne Aged Care Architect Thextonsmith, ground level consists of a new entry and reception space with a double-height void, showcasing the architectural form of the entry portico roof. A new gym, hydrotherapy pool, physiotherapy, beauty therapy and café on this level ensure there is an activity for all, helping residents enjoy a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
Level one is connected by another double-height void over a set of stairs, as well as a lift. The medical centre reception and waiting area overlooks the main entry and beautifully landscaped courtyards to the east through the glass walls of the void spaces. The medical centre features seven consulting rooms, ensuring comprehensive healthcare is available to all residents.
With the entry portico roof covered entirely in solar panels, and angled just so, the addition takes full advantage of the northern sun ensuring maximum solar power energy production.
