Facing a wetland and walking track to the west, this two-level 148 bed aged care facility designed by Melbourne Aged Care Architect Thextonsmith has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the natural beauty of its surroundings and make the most of the unobstructed views to the west. Oversized courtyards are sheltered from the predominant westerly winds and provide generous sunlight for resident amenity.
The majority of resident rooms and primary living areas on Ground and Level 1 have been carefully located to take full advantage of views and sunlight, whilst minimising building bulk at the street frontage to maintain street appeal and approachability. Exterior detailing and textures create a dialogue with the natural environment and enhance the feeling of belonging. The result is a unique, contemporary and welcoming facility that is enjoyed and admired by residents and visitors alike.
